The American West in the 1800s was a time of enormous change. Think cowboys, gold rushes, and wide-open spaces. People moved west hoping to get rich or start over. It was exciting, but also demanding, with conflicts over land and resources. The Wild West is a mix of adventure and hardship that shaped America into what it is today.
