A Deadly Protest
Emily Davison was seriously injured when she ran in front of the king's horse and died a few days later as a result of her injuries. Her act of protest and sacrifice drew widespread attention to the suffragette movement and remains a significant and iconic moment in the history of the struggle for women's voting rights in the UK. Emily Davison's dedication and willingness to take bold actions for her cause continue to inspire people today.
